Balloon

Like a balloon I
float where the wind carries me.
Higher and higher

I go up until
I can go no longer and—
POP! I burst into

pieces and slowly
fall back down to the earth where
I disintegrate.

Midnight Haiku

I.
In my dreams you are
A flash a blink a vision
Gone once I awake

II.
That small naked skin
At the back of your neck is
What I long to touch

III.
Fleeting was my glance
And oh, how I wish to steal
one more look at you
